It is now over 20 months since the coroner’s report on the death of Awaab Ishak and the resultant furore in the press. So, what have you done? What is working and what isn’t? What are you going to be doing in the future?

This online course looks at the relevant findings from the Ombudsman, the new Social Housing Act and guidance from English, Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish and Irish governments. It explores the strategical approach to dampness, looking at procedure and process, date processing and staffing issues.

Meet your trainer

Eileen McCallum

Eileen is a popular trainer with 45 years’ experience in social rented housing. She began training for Chartered Institute of Housing in 1979 and quickly became a sought-after trainer due to her depth of knowledge and her engaging style.

Her passion is asset management and she has a particular interest in dampness, condensation and mould, to the point of being called a nerd! She is also an excellent trainer for presentation skills and public speaking having lectured at a local college on this topic for over 14 years.
