This half-day online session helps you consider how to support and encourage resident influence of a housing provider and the range of arrangements that can be effective, both in general and the role of scrutiny in particular.

Michael Guest
Michael Guest is a very well-established Chartered Housing Professional and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), with extensive expertise across the housing sector. He is much sought after as a consultant and trainer. As well as the professional diploma in Housing, Michael holds a master’s degree (Distinction) in Housing Studies, a master’s degree (Merit) in Leadership and Management, and a postgraduate certificate (Distinction) in Corporate Governance.
Resident voice and scrutiny is a particular area of Michael’s expertise. He has supported a wide range of Resident Involvement Groups and Housing Providers, including a significant number of Resident Scrutiny Panels. This professional experience is complemented by his voluntary roles as a Resident Inspector and Resident Member of a Housing Association’s Estate Monitoring Committee. Michael also led the formation of a Community Company that successfully achieved the Right to Manage and was subsequently appointed to chair its board.
Michael consistently receives highly positive feedback for his training, which is often described as conversational and engaging, while remaining highly professional.
